Eduardo here,



I couldn't get Ernie's show on my phone for some unknown reason so I fired up the laptop and VOILA!



While here, I feel I am at a point in the Port's development where I can dedicate a time each morning to post here and provide some kind of real, stable contact at this 'Forum'.  I have been Living The Dream for a half a year now and each day is an adventure.  My only visitors have been friends who helped me move up here and my Brother spent a couple of days (twice) but hasn't made it back because he's moving into a new apartment soon.



Wind was heavy yesterday and is expected to continue again today with gusts up to 50 mph.  Smoke from the Rye fire occluded the Sun big time and gave me a headache.  I hope it isn't as heavy today as I have to complete the plywood sheathing on my storage building before the Monsoon rains start.  I have an area started that will act as a water catchment and I will be staking 12' x 15' tarps around it to see how much I can get in one Season.



Every time I come here I see guests logged in. I heartily invite you to create an account and post what you think.



I'm going to go now and make breakfast and then listen to Dr. Phranq.

Saw one on the 3dprinting thread asking about setting up printers at sporting events. With a link to a rice cooker!



Good job on the letter BTW.

Maybe filters should be used in order to have more relevant messages as you say.

While I live in isolation here in Paradise I hear you have had a couple of problems out there.

I'd love to see progress on building the ship. Haven't done much design on this end.



Had started to figure out structural supports, but stalled out on the process.

Also played with 3D printable models and attempted a design for lasercut model to make a larger (2'x 2') model/drone.

Started modelling another ship (the Phoenix), but it's more fantasy & less practical than the Precariat. Progress is slow going.

Was thinking the Precariat would be nice to have with all the Covid stuff going on.

People are meant to DISCUSS things in a 'Forum'!



WHERE IS THE CAPTAIN?



I was so hopeful for this site, but have been sorely disappointed.



I will have a level SOLID ROCK platform available to begin construction of the Precariat sometime later this year. It will be precision level and the road to access the site is almost clear for traffic.



Plans for the facility to support construction workers are drawn up and I am awaiting the resumption of Navajo County Building Code business to resume to submit plans and pay appropriate fees. My brother is a concrete worker and I am experienced in all other phases of building construction and we will begin as soon as we are permitted.



I am moving forward full steam whether I get replies or conversation on this issue OR NOT.  It is something I KNOW has to be done and I am utilizing THREE ACRES OF MY LAND for this project, whether those present here wish to utilize it or not.



A SHIP WILL be built.



Will it be the Precariat?



We'll see.

I am looking for secure operating systems that can be distributed on a thumb drive.  Found TAILS, but looking for something with a little more pre-configuration.



I remember hearing an episode or two of Declare Your Independence about a system called RED PILL.  I can't find it in the site archives.  Does anyone know the website for the project or the DYI episode number so I can listen again?

Trying to find a USB Operating System I can distribute to friends and family to practise secure comms.



Starting with TAILS (https://tails.boum.org/home/index.en.html), but I recall hearing about a project "Red Pill" on the DYI radio show.



Does anyone have info on "Red Pill"?  I am looking for home page, link to radio episode, or experiences with project.

You can bounce clusters of packets off of random meter trails that are overhead even during the day in intervals from seconds to minutes, establishing an uncensorable, long range, if slow, comm system. Detecting the ionization comparateur assurance chat trail with a transmitter/receiver is petty easy to do, hook it up to transmit during time that you have an active ion trail to bounce the signal over and hold for the next.
