Re: Cargo Design

My Good Fellow Pirates,

In consideration of receiving/delivering cargo in a Lighter Than Air Vehicle you must remember ballast displacement equal to the cargo for attaining liftoff weight.

I agree with Ernie and add that steel cable should sufficient for standard containers.

Re: The Pirate Code

Men can be animals, and moreso Pirates. Captain Bartholomew Roberts became famous for his Code in 1671, which must be signed before boarding: I. Every man has a vote in affairs of moment; has equal title to the fresh provisions, or strong liquors, at any time seized, and may use them at pleasure, un...

A Pirates Prayer of Thanks

I come to you with humble thanks for all that you’ve delivered, For Englishmen to walk the planks and for timbers left unshivered. I thank you for a glassy sea and the steady blowing breeze, For giving all these things to me without making me say please. And I thank you for the horizon where sea an...

Be ye Land-Lubber or PIRATE?

I see a lot of senseless Scuttlebutt on these boards. What be all this nonsense of 'in-tee-lectuool propity' and why such a hang-up on 'money'? All a Pirate needs is fresh water, provisions, and a stiff breeze - and even that last isn't always necessary. Once we take 'to the air' it will be as on gl...

Re: The Pirate Code

Respectfully,

We have Codes for the same reason we have Flags, sir.

It is simply an issue of Trust.

Re: The Pirate Code

Why have a Code at all, Doug?

Or is that 'silly' also?

Your attitude is why TAXATION is in the U. S. Constitution (which I never would have signed to begin with after reading it.)

Re: Every kid knows...

Being a sickly child, I could not run and play with the other children of my village. My Sainted Mother (God Rest Her Soul) worked for a learned man, and was allowed to borrow books, from which she taught me to read and write long before those outside at play. Through reading I became wise in the wa...

Re: The Pirate Code

Thank you Davi, for an intelligent response (for a change). I contend that Property Rights are no less sacred than those of Life and Liberty. As written, The Code states that Crew have the same 'rights' as Captains. I disagree. NO Crew member has a RIGHT to be on my boat EXCEPT BY MUTUAL AGREEMENT W...

Re: The Pirate Code

The 'evidence' of The Code shows itself with there being three distinct classes of individuals: Pirate Crew Captain A pirate is one who has no commitment on board ship, be they Passenger or Marauder. Crew are those who have committed themselves into a voluntary agreement with a Captain, who owns the...

Re: Stiegers law???

We have a Pirate Code which I will Hold Sacred. I'm sure I share that with other Pirates present. That is the Great Hope that brought me here. Honor. Those that walk this land we stand on also have a code. Had the Representatives of The People of the land stayed within the bounds of that code, thing...
