Re: How do you know?

Do not take a skull jack when it comes, even if it's trendy and increases your interface ability. Your brain might be hacked!

Re: packet radio

You can bounce clusters of packets off of random meter trails that are overhead even during the day in intervals from seconds to minutes, establishing an uncensorable, long range, if slow, comm system. Detecting the ionization trail with a transmitter/receiver is petty easy to do, hook it up to tran...

Re: Subsystems

Power:Solar is fine and all, but it currently can't deliver consistent performance Storage can't yet be light enough for most Amps/hours tasks. You have to add something with ooomph like a Thorium Reactor, but those wouldn't be private "legally". Conversely you can reduce the power needs or limit it...

The town 50 miles away might not have a lot of chickens, but they raise pigs and cut a lot of firewood. Eventually you get sick of pig roasts and need to get tangibles. M...

Re: What is money?

In general terms, money seems to be just a means of keeping track of stuff. I have 7 sheep, trade me for 3 horses etc. It's easier to meet in a bar or wherever and trade symbolic stuff than the real stuff usually. It has been precious metals because they are rare. If you used rocks, everyone would b...

Re: Solar Roads

Make charging and storage available every 10 miles so you can use the time the road is empty constructively!
